About Track & Trail Cycle Adventures

Based in Rotorua, Track and Trail offers transport, accommodation, food and support on the awesome cycle trails of the central North Island, NZ. Our itineraries are aimed at creating fun and flowing cycle adventures while showcasing natural history, cultural, geothermal and man-made places of interest along the trails. Our trips suit most bike styles except road bikes and our riders are all ages. E-bikes are welcome. Some fitness and biking experience will make for a more fun adventure. Groups of up to 11 people can be accommodated.

North Island Bicycle Tour

Starting and finishing in Rotorua; ride the southern half of the Waikato River Trail, then continue to the Timber Trail (2 days) on to the eastern half of the The Great Lake Trail and then on to Rotorua and the Whakarewarewa Loop (32 KM) MTB track. Walk the ancient Whirinaki Forest with a trusted local guide, then ride from Waikaremoana to Ruatahuna (47 km) or Murupara (96 km).Includes overnight stay, meals, and full vehicle support—ride as much or as little as you like.
